SURGICAL PROCEDURE: EGD with antral biopsies

PRE-OP DX: r/o H. pylori

POST-OP DX:

GROSS DESCRIPTION: Formalin. Specimen labelled antrum consists of a 0.4 cm biopsy. Submitted in toto.

MICROSCOPIC DESCRIPTION:None.

DIAGNOSIS: Biopsy antrum. Segment of gastric antral mucosa shows mild chronic gastritis. H. pylori-like bacilli are not seen.
